Well, well, well I have taken a short leave of absence due to my crazy schedule and moving into my new home BUT I won't leave y'all hangin'. My best friend, Yamelia, and I had a blast in Barcelona though we didn't get to see all the cool spots that the gorgeous city is known for. My favorite, of course, was going to the Sagrada Familia which is definitely top 3 must-sees of Barcelona. You gotta pay extra to see every thing but the costs are cheap, and it's really much bigger than you may think it is at first. On the flip side, we'll tell you more of our outdoor water excursion in the second video below where you'll learn about all the fun things we did like riding a Fly-fish with a bunch of French-speaking girls who did not speak English, pero despite the language barrier, this was the most fun I have ever had!

Day 2

We have arrived! Barcelona has welcomed us with wide open arms, I can't get enough! Our hotel is probably one of the nicest hotels i've ever stayed in, I mean, what hotel gives you a phone that you can take around locally and stay connected to wifi & data, as well as make calls (all free....FREE)! I'm living lavish here, honestly. For breakfast we had freshly squeezed orange juice, and an all you cant buffet. By the time we finished eating, I was ready to go back to sleep 'cuz food comas are a real thing. Our first day was smooth, though. Since our hotel is situated right near some of the most famous tourist attractions, we walked to the Cathedral and did some shopping (more like window-shopping, but who cares haha). Enjoy our video!

This time last year I never would have thought that I would be able to add Portugal to the list of countries I have been to before 21. I went with my friends all on our own and we had the most amazing time. Portugal is a country that is easy to fall in love with. The people are amiable, the food is to die for, and after a long night of partying you just might find yourself in an uber chatting with the driver about everything and anything. I think that the biggest highlight of my weekend trip in Porto was going surfing for the first time! This is also something I probably would've never done because paranoia & anxiety gets the best of me, but I would've never overcome my fears had it not been for my super adventurous and courageous friends whom I am so grateful for.

There is a saying by Samuel Johnson that goes like this:

"The use of traveling is to regulate imagination with reality, and instead of thinking of how things may be, see them as they are."

(Skip to 4:11 to see the pictures of us surfing!)
