Santiago de Compostela
While I was in Galicia I also toured its' capital, Santiago de Compostela, and fell in love with how friendly the people are there and the Cathedral. The Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela was under construction so it wasn't super pretty to look at, but the minute I walked inside I felt at peace. What's crazy is that it felt like everyone else around me was feeling the same way: a sense of relaxation, peace, and spirituality. In the middle of the Cathedral they had these candles that people could light in memory of a loved one, alive or not. I lit a candle for my mom and my dad because even through the darkest times they continue to light the way through it all. Being in the Cathedral was a very emotional and reflective moment, not just for me, but for my friends that joined me. Santiago de Compostela is a gorgeous city filled with history represented by massive architecture and statues. Check out my video below to get a glimpse of the city!
